Team Party

The Black Mountain Running Raiders Season End Party is going to be on Wednesday, December 5th from 2:30pm to 3:30pm in the Quad. If you are a Running Raider who will be attending, please reply to this email by Tuesday, December 4th so I can get an accurate head count for the party.

Schedule Changes

Since Wednesday, October 17th is a minimum day, we will have practice from 11:30 to 12:30 instead of our usual time.

This Friday is the meet at Twin Peaks. First race will begin at 4pm for 6th boys. I have heard that Earth Made Snow Cones will have a booth selling shaved ice ($3, $4, $5). The course is here: Twin Peaks Course.

Then the following week we have a schedule change. We will have our home meet on Thursday, October 25th. We will need volunteers to help run the meet. I will send a link to Volunteer Spot shortly.
The final meet will be on November 2nd. It will be the Rotary Club Fun Run meet at Mount Carmel High School.
Here is a link to the updated schedule: Meet Schedule.

Meadowbrook XC Meet

Our second meet is this Thursday, September 27th at Meadowbrook Middle School.

The exact schedule of events was not indicated but will likely be the same as the Bernardo Heights event with 6th grade girls at 4:00pm followed by 6th grade boys. Then all 7th graders will start together followed by all 8th graders.

The Course is: MeadowbrookCourse.

Once runners leave the school grounds at Meadowbrook they need to stay on the sidewalk. At the top of the cul-de-sac there is a very narrow opening where there will be volunteers standing to guide the runners on to the trial. The trail is a wide open area with lots of room for spectators. Parking will be very difficult. You may want to park on Frame Road across the street from the school and walk.

All participants should plan to arrive 20 minutes before their race time in order to have time to warm up an get an ID sticker.

If you are in the 6th grade Academy you will need to be excused early from PE so do not leave anything in the locker room. All Academy students who are excused early must be checked out through the front office.  You should leave Black Mountain no later than 3:15pm in order to have enough time to get to the meet, warm up, and get a ID sticker for the race.

Bernardo Heights Meet

Our first meet is this Thursday, September 20th at Bernardo Heights Middle School.

The first group will be the 6th grade girls at 4:00pm followed by 6th grade boys. Then all 7th graders will start together followed by all 8th graders.

The Course is: CrossCountryCourse.

All participants should plan to arrive 20 minutes before their race time in order to have time to warm up an get an ID sticker.
